About

divine-mind-andrey-milania-elenaThanks for stopping by.

I’m Andrey. I’m 34 years old and I spend most of my time, aside from traveling, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I did not win the lottery, nor do I claim to be a guru of any kind but I consider myself to be the luckiest man alive.
I have a wonderful wife, gorgeous baby girl, my family, friends that I can rely on and, most importantly, the time to enjoy it all.

However, the path to all this “luck” was a lot less glamorous.

As if by the stroke of luck, my life just happens to be a series of fate twisting events and circumstances that lead me to explore and put to the test the hidden powers of the mind.
It is my intention to share with you and continue to explore these incredible powers of the human mind through this blog.

I believe that we do not get what we want, we get what we are.

Why the Divine Mind Blog?

Being a very ambitious and adventurous person by nature, I have hit the rock bottom many times in my life, which caused a lot of pain and frustration. Nevertheless, the very same pain of not having what I wanted always led me through the trial and error to my goals. I am pretty sure you can relate to that too.
This stubborn approach to setting and achieving goals raised a lot of questions like:

Does it have to be that hard?
Is there an easier way than muscling my way through life?

In October of 2007 my quest to find answers had come to an end. I came across a book called Ancient Secrets of Success for Today’s World written by Tulshi Sen. Well, that book had answered all of my questions and changed my life forever setting me on a path to self-realization and personal development.

I’ve always believed that the last frontier is not space (as in “Star Trek”) but deep within our own mind. There is no escape from it and sooner or later everyone must face it in order to realize the power of the self.

In May of 2008 I had the honor to meet Mr. Sen in person and become his student. Mr. Sen turned out to be the Master on the subject of Practical Spirituality of Everyday Life, as I like to call it.
It became my mission to share these ancient secrets with the world about the hidden powers of the human mind. I have received these teachings from Mr. Sen who was initiated into the mysticism of the East and West by his Master in the Himalayas.

I have spent countless hours gathering information from my own notes, transcribing audio recordings from conference calls, seminars and webinars of my teacher Tulshi Sen. Combining all that information allowed me to put together the most comprehensive and complete guide on how to imagine, vision, and manifest a vision into “reality”, as taught by the Ancients Masters for thousands of years without breaking your back.
I named it Master Key To Imagination guide.

My Story

This is one of the many adventures I had in my life. There are too many to list here and it is absolutely not the point I am trying to make. Instead, I want to show you on my personal life example that Whatever Our Mind Can Conceive and Believe – It Can Achieve.

Coming to America (extending edition..)

At the age of 18, after graduating from college in Odessa, Ukraine (where I grew up) in 1996 I managed to get a seat on a Greek cargo ship as a Busboy. Although not exactly the best choice, it was close enough to my degree as a Chef and working abroad making some US dollars felt great.

After crossing the Atlantic ocean 4 times, while being at sea for 8 months and, most importantly, visiting Canada and USA made me realize that there is another and much better way to live my life instead of slaving away on a cargo ship for $450 per month (yep, per month). Thus, the idea of moving either to Canada or USA was born.

Our choices shape our destiny.

Upon my return home, I was not the same person. The idea of me living in Ukraine was no longer an option, as well as the career at sea as a Chef. It was quite a dilemma I must admit. No English, no money and no idea how I was to achieve the goal of immigrating either to Canada or USA.

As the saying goes: “Whenever There Is A Will, There Is A Way” and so the journey began.

Through the word of mouth I heard that there was a company in Gdansk, Poland that was crewing up a passenger ship to sail the east of North America and that is exactly what I needed. There was one big problem though – the company wouldn’t hire anybody from ex-soviet union due to a high chance of defections. Well, that wouldn’t stop THE IDEA, as its time has come.

Armed with all possible enthusiasm and unstoppable desire to succeed, I was on my way to Poland. Learning a few words of English on the train did the trick, but my favorite weapon of choice was confidence. I don’t know how I mumbled my way through that interview, who knows. Perhaps it was so entertaining that they missed the fact that I was from Ukraine.

On the way back I couldn’t stop visualizing myself arriving to that mighty white passenger ship berthed at the dock in its glory. Of course, all that was solely dependent on the job offer that I so intuitively knew I would get.

Three weeks, lots of stress, paperwork and $1,500 dollars later I found myself on a plane to New York where the passenger ship called “Ocean Breeze” was waiting for me.

What did not kill me, made me stronger (my journey through hell..)

Upon arrival on the ship I was informed that I am not allowed on the upper deck, only in case of emergency. My shift as Assistant Salad Chef would start at 06:00 am and finish by midnight at best, making it an 18-19 hour work day. I had half an hour for each: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The contract is for 1 year and I must work all 365 days to get my $1500 air fare back. After a few days of work I discovered that an average stay for a crew member was about 3-4 months in such conditions, and to my surprise the ship owner was some Florida based shipping company.

Well, working in extreme heat, lack of sleep and a 30 pound weight loss in just 3 weeks led me to conclude the following:

Either I Do Something Or I Die Here

Since the original plan of saving a few dollars, gaining some experience and knowledge to assist me in my immigration process failed, I had 2 options:

  • Option 1. Go back to Ukraine;
  • Option 2. Defect now while the ship is still in North America;

Needles to say, I chose option 2. I knew that a few dollars I had and the language barrier would not get me far. I needed a companion which I found, a 19 year old bar attendant from Lithuania who spoke some English and Russian and had $450 dollars in his pocket and to whom it seemed like a great adventure. Besides, he could return back home at any time he wanted, which he did later on anyways.

On September 10, 1997 at the age of 19 I made a daring decision to walk off the ship in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Here I was, no English, no money ($50 dollars to be exact) and no exact course of action, although I had an idea to go to Montreal, Quebec. Our combined budget of $500 dollars would allow us to get there.

The beginning of a new life.

Getting to Montreal is a story of its own. I’ve spent almost 2 years in Montreal, Quebec going through hell of getting my immigration papers being a refugee, working numerous jobs varying from a factory worker to a flyers delivery boy in the harshest conditions of the ice storm that hit Montreal in January of 1998, and studying English on my own in the bathroom at night. This was the only room in our bachelor apartment where I could have the lights on at night.

After getting my long awaited landed immigrant papers in March of 1999 I relocated to Vancouver, BC. Being legal in the country felt great. The sky was the limit.
Within the next 18 months I managed to bring my parents to Canada and graduate from college in computer science, which later allowed me to get involved in the film and television industry where I get to rub shoulders with the most inspiring and talented people I’ve ever met. And of course, a beautiful wife and an awesome baby girl made this all complete and worth striving for.

What seemed an unachievable task at first, turned out to be the most exhilarating and life changing experience of my life.

Living a life is like peeling an onion.

You peel one layer off with your life experiences, discovering more about your true self and the world around you and then move on to the next layer. As one lesson in life comes to the end, it is time for another to begin.

Life is too precious to short change it to nickels and dimes by living in fear and anxiety of tomorrow. There is no tomorrow. There is only here and now.

The root of all beginnings lay in our imagination.
